IEEE IAS DAIICT Student Branch Chapter organized Tachyon ’19- All India Industry Applications Society Students Conclave. It was a 3-day mega event wherein there was an extraordinary conglomeration of a majority of in-vogue topics of a modern world like 5G, Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.

The Conclave, held during 29th- 31st March 2019, was filled with enriching expert talks with around 85 enthusiastic participants including faculties and students from all over the nation. Held in Mini Auditorium (CEP 102), the Conclave was conducted in six sessions dealing with talks on different technologies spread throughout the three days. The highlight of the event was the presence of honourable Dr. Peter Magyar, the IEEE IAS Director of Chapter Development as our Distinguished Speaker with us.

The Inaugural Ceremony began with the Lightening of the Lamp and thereafter with a welcome speech by Ms. Raksha Rank, the current Chairperson of IEEE IAS DAIICT Student Branch Chapter which was followed by the speech of Ms. Neelanshi Varia, ex-chairperson of IEEE IAS DAIICT Student Branch Chapter. Thereafter we had Prof. Manik Lal Das, Chair of IEEE Gujarat Section and our Director, Dr. K. S. Dasgupta who addressed the students. Next we had Chief Guest and Distinguished Speaker Dr. Peter Magyar who spoke about IEEE and IAS and introduced them in detail. This was followed by the speech of Keynote Speaker Mr. Sunil Parekh, who is an advisor to Zydus Cadila Healthcare Ltd Group. He talked about creating Value through Synthesis of Emerging Technologies.

The last day kick started with a lecture by the distinguished Prof S L Maskara (Retd), IIT Kharagpur. He spoke about 5G technology. This enriching session was followed by a refreshing High Tea. Next was the talk on Machine Learning, one of the most anticipated and awaited topics of Tachyon ’19, by Dr. Nitendra Rajput, Executive Vice President and Head of Data Science at Info Edge. The final session was taken by Prof. Sourish Dasgupta, co-founder of Raxter.io, on Artificial Intelligence. To freshen up the participants after the talks, there was organised a GK based fun quiz by the Organising Committee which was hosted on the online platform Kahoot. This was followed by a networking session wherein participants also gave their valuable feedbacks and clicked photos with props prepared by organising committee.

Certificates were distributed and this marked the end of the mega three-day event. It was undoubtedly a successful and enriching event.
